British Dressage Rules apply to competitions held.
Event Rules
1. The judges decision is final
2. The organiser of events will taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of those present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take precaution to avoid and prevent accidents occuring and must obey the instruction of organisers and officials.
3. Riders must wear a correctly fastened (current standard) hat at all times whilst mounted.
4. Riders/owners are responsible for their own, their horses and spectator safety.
5. Every care will be given, but no responsibility can be taken for any loss, damage or injury to any person or property on the showground. The show organisers cannot be held responsible for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstances whatsoever to exhibitors, their servants or any person visiting or attending the show. It shall be considered a condition of entry or admission to the showground that each person shall hold the show organiser and property owner harmless and that they shall indemnify the show organiser and property owner against any legal proceedings arising from any such case or circumstance.
6. All horses and ponies entering the showground must have appropriate insurance.
7. Children must be supervised at all times.
8. Horses and ponies must be over 4 years old.
9. All droppings and litter should be removed from the showground
10. Entry fees will not be refunded unless requests are accompanied by a vets or doctors note.
11. All classes are held under British Dressage rules and competitors agree to be bound by them.
12. It is a condition of entry that competitors agree to abide by these rules.
13. The organisers reserve the right to eliminate or ask to leave the showground any person breeching these rules or where there is a considered welfare issue with a horse or pony.
14. No dogs allowed anywhere on the showground.
Warm-up Rules
Any competitor not abiding by these rules may be asked to leave the warm up by a steward
1. All steward instructions must be followed
2. Priority will be given to competitors within half an hour before their time unless there are fewer than four horses in the arena.
3. No non-competitors to ride in the arena during the competition
4. Assistants are not allowed in the arena on foot. Any assistance to the competitor must be performed outside the arena.
5. No lungeing allowed.
6. If riding in opposite directions riders must pass left hand to left hand
7. Walk work must be done on the inside track. You should not halt or walk on the outside track.
8. Riders must keep at least a horse length between horses.
9. All horses must be kept under control at all times. Horses behaving in a dangerous manner will be asked to leave the warm-up if they are causing a risk to others.
10. Please be respectful and courteous to other riders. It is advisable to announce that you intend to enter an indorr arena to avoid accidents.
11. In an emergency it is advisable that all riders dismount.
12. Hard hats and suitable footwear must be worn when riding in the warm up
